Dan Gauthier founded EXO Law to practice the way he believes counsel is best delivered: close to a small number of clients, immersed in their goals, and invested in the long arc of their success.
His real estate practice spans the full transaction cycle across industrial, multifamily, and net lease asset classes. That work includes acquisitions, development, leasing, financing, and disposition. He also advises on the business structures that support real estate companies: joint ventures, entity governance, investor reporting frameworks, and syndication. His business law practice covers mergers and acquisitions, commercial contracts, and ongoing general counsel work for companies at every stage. Among the clients he serves is ATLAS Capital Partners, a fully integrated real estate investment and development firm active across the Phoenix metro and Mountain West markets. He is also the owner of Vogt Tax & Accounting, a full-service tax and accounting practice serving individuals and businesses.
Prior to founding EXO Law, Dan served as chief legal officer of a public company investing in real estate in the legalized cannabis industry, and built a broad private practice representing developers, investors, lending institutions, and businesses across industries. He has written and spoken on Opportunity Zone investing and related tax strategy.

Dan lives in the East Valley with his wife, their two children, and their dogs. Away from work, he cooks, plays acoustic guitar, follows craft beer, and plays board games.
